So this is an absolutley brilliant idea! Just attach the plug on to a window and it will harness solar energy. A small converter will convert it into electricity which can be freely used as a plug when you are in the car, on a plane or outside.

Love this design and I really think it has a great potential.

In Magick Without Tears, Crowley describes a lamen as a ‘sort of Coat of Arms’, a ‘harmony of symbols’ that expresses in a single design the character and powers of the wearer. He also said of the Memorial Pillar at Cefalu that it was ‘inscribed with various symbols descriptive of the Work of bringing the new Message of the Masters of Wisdom to Mankind’. As a ‘harmony of symbols’ in a ‘single design’, the Memorial Pillar functions as a type of lamen.

9. The Lamen of the Master Therion

At first sight, the Memorial Pillar would appear to be unique in the body of work Crowley has bequeathed us. However, its form can be discerned in the geometry of the Lamen of the Master Therion. The Lamen’s circular head and its triangular body with the projecting points of the hexagram clearly follow the outline of the Memorial Pillar.

The Lamen was first published in 1929 in Crowley’s magnum opus Magick in Theory & Practice. Its design incorporates Crowley’s unicursal hexagram, the seven-pointed star of Babalon and a version of the Rose-Cross that he developed from the three-armed Hierophantic Cross.

6. The Secret Seal of Solomon

According to legend, King Solomon used the Secret Seal to imprison 72 spirits in a vessel of brass which was thrown into a lake near Babylon. The legend gave rise to the story of a fisherman releasing a genie from a bottle he found on the shore.

In 1904, Crowley published Mathers’ notes and drawings in his Goetia, the first part of a grimoire called The Lemegeton. An old if not ancient magical work, the Goetia deals with the ceremonial evocation of 72 so-called ‘evil spirits’. In fact many of these spirits bear the names of ancient Gods, ‘fallen idols’ condemned to ‘hell’ by the church.

The Ladder of Ascent and Descent of the Intellect, not tree-like at first glance, but certainly branching dichotomously, the steps labeled from bottom to top, with representative figures on the right and upper left: Lapis (stone), Flamma (fire), Planta (plant), Brutum (beast), Homo (human), Caelum (sky), Angelus (angel), and Deus (God), a scheme that shows how one might ascend from inferior to superior beings and vice versa. After Ramon Lull (1232–1315), Liber de ascensu et descensu intellectus, written about 1305 but not published until 1512.

The Kabbalistic Tree of Life has a dark side, the Tree of Qliphoth, which is also known as the Tree of Death and which corresponds to the Tree of Knowledge in the Bible. The Qliphoth are metaphorical “shells” surrounding holiness. They are spiritual obstacles receiving their existence from God only in an external, rather than internal manner. Divinity in Judaism connotes revelation of God’s true unity, while the shells conceal holiness, as a peel conceals the fruit within.

One of the most famous artefacts in the English collections of the Pitt Rivers Museum was given by Margaret Murray in 1926, it is a ‘witch in a bottle’. Here are the accession book entry (written when the artefact first came into the Museum, and a more detailed account written on a card from a index card catalogue for amulets in the Museum.

Accession book entry MISS M. A. MURRAY. - Small glass flask of bilobed shape, silvered over the inside and stoppered. This is reputed to contain a witch, and the late owner, an old lady living in a village near HOVE, SUSSEX, remarked, “they do say there be a witch in it, and if you let un out there’ll be a peck o’trouble.” It was obtained from her in 1915.’ It is on display in the Court (Ground Floor) in Case 31.A - Magic, Witchcraft and Trial by Ordeal.
